Copper solid electrode wire with the addition of manganese and silicon, designed for MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding of non-alloy steels such as general structural steels, pressure tank steels and shipbuilding steels, as well as for welding of fine carbon-manganese steels for the same purpose, with a minimum yield strength of less than 420 MPa. When welding with OK Autrod 12.51 electrode wire, Ar/20CO2 mixture or pure CO2 can be used as shielding gas. The mechanical properties given here are obtained using Ar/20CO2 mix.
